I like basketball most．But I’m not a good player．because I’m too short for the game．So I often watch games on TV, especially during the NBA playoff period and the finals．The games are usually exciting and enjoyable．It is lucky that I don’t have to stay up for the games like I did for the European Cup，because NBA teams usually play the games at night，which can be watched in China in the morning．Like lots of young people，I like our little giant Yaoming．Though he is not the best player in NBA，his excellent performance as the seed player in Huston Rockets has earned pride for our Chinese players．

The Olympic Games are celebrated around the world as a big sports gala with great significance of maintaining peace, enhancing friendship and promoting civilization. As one of the most influential countries in the world today, China is willing to do its best to promote the Olympic Movement. It is the aspiration of the Chinese people to share the Olympic spirit, take part in Olympic affairs and host the Olympic Games. Over the past two decades, China has achieved social stability and economic prosperity through reform, opening up to the outside world and modernization, and its national strength has increased greatly.
Beijing’s renewed efforts to bid for the Olympic Games and its final success in the bid not only have the significance for sharing the Olympic spirit, celebrating humanity and expanding exchanges between the East and the West, but also help provide a good opportunity of showing the current state of economic, cultural, social and political development in China in a comprehensive way. While showing to the world a new, vigorous image of an open, modernized, civilized and well-developed metropolis in the lead-up to the 2008 Olympics, Beijing is ready to become a truly international city and make every effort to deliver a "Green Olympics", a "Hi-Tech Olympics", a "People’s Olympics" and, to top it all, an unprecedented Olympics that would leave, as an IOC Evaluation Commission report believes, a unique legacy for both China and sport as a whole.
We must adhere to great idea of scientific development．The Beijing 2008 Olympic Games aims for a high-tech Olympics．And Beijing has begun to develop an intelligent transportation system equipped with high-technology to relieve traffic congestion before the Olympic．At the same time，Beijing will build a fast road system without intersections，encompassing the second to sixth ring roads．But the2008 Beijing Olympic Games will also bring China great business opportunities．We can believe that the event will also help improve China’s national image on the international stage，enhancing the country’s position as a big developing country with rapid economic growth．Beijing 2008 is going to be the greatest．

Many people have a lot of hobbies．For example，some like collecting antiques while others like listening to folk songs，country music，symphony, or popular songs．But many people’s hobbies are hiking and mountain climbing．Sometimes，hobbies can help people build up their mental and physical health．Let’s take playing football as an example．When you kick the ball around with your friends，you are in a very good mood，and you are a lot in the fresh air．You can’t think of a better way to keep fit．This is especially true for physical hobbies. As we know, sports and games are also useful in character training．They demand not only physical skill and strength but also courage，enthusiasm，discipline and usually teamwork．We know all things have two sides．Normally people should know no good to overdo anything. For example，it’s funny to play computer games occasionally．They make people relax and have more pleasure．But if a person plays computer games day and night．neglecting his work or his family, then computer games，in a case，do more harm than good．
People should be especially watchful to such entertainments playing mahjong and playing video games etc．They should never indulge in them. Otherwise，these entertainments will become destructive and will change hobbies into bad habits．So one’s hobbies and the formation of his character have some relations．

3、幸福、财富、健康(Happiness，Wealth and Health)
Many of people believe money is the source of happiness．Money can bring power, happiness and all we desire．If we have a large sum of money，maybe we would be regarded as a successful man．If we are penniless，you would be taken as a fool．But I think they are wrong．We should also bear it in mind that there is something that can’t be brought with money．We should cherish our health. I think money is necessary, but health is indispensable．Wealth can never be measured in terms of money．Wealth includes physical health，a happy family life，true love and harmony in human relation．Nowadays，we are living in a more materialistic society and consumer goods are desirable everywhere．Do you know some old sayings about money，
such as“money talks”，and“no money, no honey”?These proverbs give deep impressions when we are young．At least it makes US know about the importance of money．With time passing by, maybe we begin to know money is not the only thing that matter in life．But in reality without money we can’t live a happy life．So enough money means we can afford the cost of our living and we can have extra money to support our hobbies．Health is wealth．Health is the source of happiness．Some millionaires or billionaires cling close to their doctors，because they seldom get enough exercise to keep their health．A person，who is in good health，can afford to challenge all hardships．

Solar energy for your home is coming．It can help you as a single home owner．It can help the whole country as well．Whether or not solar energy can save your money depends on many things．Where you live is one factor．The type of home you have is another．Things like insulation present energy coasts，and the type of system you buy are added factors．
Using solar energy can help save our precious fuel．As you know．Our supplies of oil and gas are very limited．There is just not enough on hand to meet all our future energy needs．And when Mother Nature says that’s all. His only way we can delay hearing those words is by starting to save energy now and by using other sources, like the sun．We won’t have to worry about the sun’s running out of energy for another several billion years or so．Besides begin an endless course of energy．the use of the sun has other advantages as well．The sun doesn’t offer as many problems as other energy sources．For example．Fossil fuel plants add to already high pollution levels．With solar energy，we will still need sources of energy．but we won’t need as much．That means we can cut down on our pollution problems．
With all these good points. why don’t we use more solar power? There are many reasons for this．The biggest reason is money．Until now．It was just not practical for a home owner to put in a solar unit．There were cheaper sources of energy．All that is changing now．Solar costs are starting to equal the costs of oil and electricity．Expert say that gas，oil and electricity prices will continue to rise．The demand for electricity is increasing rapidly．But new power plants will use more gas．oil or coal．Already in some places the supply of electricity is being rationed．Solar energy is now in its infancy．It could soon grow to become a major part of our nation’s energy supply．
The world’s population continues to grow．There now are about 5 billion of us on the earth．That could reach 6 billion by the end century and 11 billion in a further 75 years．Experts have long concerned about such a growth．Where will we find the food，water, houses, schools and health care for all these people’? A major new study shows that the situation may be changing．A large and rapid drop in the world’s birth rate has taken place during the past 10 years．Families generally are smaller now than they were a few years ago. It is happening in both developing and industrial nations. Researchers said they found a number of reasons for this．More men and women are waiting longer to get married and are using birth control devices and methods to prevent or delay pregnancy．More women are going to school or working at jobs away from home instead of having children．And more governments，especially in developing nations，now support family planning programs to reduce population growth．
China is one of the nations that have made great program in reducing its population growth．China has already cut its rate of population growth by about one half since 1970. Each Chinese family is now urged to have no more than one child．
And the hope is to reach a zero population growth with the total number of births equaling the total number of deaths by the year 2020．
Several nations in Europe already have fewer births than deaths．Experts said that these nations could face a serious shortage of workers in the future．And the ones who are working could face much higher taxes to help support the growing number of retired people．
The world’s population will likely reach 9.2 billion in 2050, with virtually all new growth occurring in the developing world, a U.N. report said Tuesday.
According to the U.N. Population Division’s 2006 estimate, the world’s population will likely increase by 2.5 billion people over the next 43 years from the current 6.7 billion-a rise equivalent to the number of people in the world in 1950. Hania Zlotnik, the division’s director, said an important change in the new population estimate is a decrease in expected deaths from AIDS because of the rising use of anti-retroviral drugs and a downward revision of the prevalence of the disease in some countries. The new report estimates 32 million fewer deaths from AIDS during the 2005-2020 period in the 62 most affected countries, compared with the previous U.N. estimate in 2004.This change contributed to the slightly higher world population estimate of 9.2 billion in 2050 than the 9.1 billion figure in the 2004 estimate, the report said. The report also said most population growth will take place in less developed countries, whose numbers are projected to rise from 5.4 billion in 2007 to 7.9 bill, ion in 2050. The populations of poor countries like Afghanistan, Burundi, Congo, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Niger, East Timor and Uganda are projected to at least triple by mid-century.
By contrast, the total population of richer countries is expected to remain largely unchanged at 1.2 billion. The report said the figure would be lower without expected migration of people from poorer countries, averaging 2.3 million annually.
According to the report, 46 countries are expected to lose population by mid-century, including Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea and most of the former Soviet republics. Zlotnik said most countries in Asia and Latin America have reached the "relatively beneficial stage" of having more working-age adults than children or elderly in their populations, "and they will remain in that stage for at least two more decades." But their populations will then start to age, heading in the same direction as Europe and North America, she said. "Europe is the only region at this moment where the number of people aged 60 and over has already surpassed the number of children," she said. "We expect that Asia and Latin America will have by 2050 an age distribution that is very similar to the one that Europe has today."
African countries will have an increase of working-age adults by 2050, but the continent’s overall population will also nearly double in that time, Zlotnik said. "So it is the continent that is going to have to absorb a very high increase, and it will have to absorb it at levels of development that are the very lowest that we have in this world," she said.
The law says women should have the chance of doing the same jobs as men and earn the same as them．The reality is very different．Women lose because 25 years after the Equal Pay Act．many of them still get paid less than men．They lose because they do lower-paid jobs which men just won’t consider，and they lose because they are the ones who interrupt a career to have children．All this is reported in an independent study ordered by the Government’s women‘s unit．The biggest problem is not equal pay in workplaces such as factories．It is the sort of work women do．Make a list of low-paid jobs，then consider who does them．Try nurses，secretaries，cleaners，clerks，teachers in primary schools，dinner ladies and childcare helpers．Not a lot of men among that the group，are there? Yet some of those jobs are really important．Surely no one would deny that about nurses and teachers，for a start．So why do we reward the people who do them so poorly? There can be only one answer—because they are women．This is not going to be put right overnight，but the Government，which employs a lot of them．and other bosses have to make a start．If is disgraceful that we have gone into the 21st century still treating women like second-class citizens．
Computers are being used more and more extensively in the world today．They can do communication quickly and accurately．They can gather information for later use．Computers can be used for modem communication such as e-mail．The Internet keeps us well informed．In a word，computers have brought about great speed and high efficiency to mankind．It really has changed our life greatly．
I’m an Internet addict．With the Internet，it is convenient and fast for people to get a variety of information and still I can surf on the Internet and I can learn more．E-mail is another popular use．You can send and get e-mail on the internet anywhere in the world．In some cases，the Internet can reduce your long-distance phone charges，and no need to wait for the postman．It can transmit your letter quickly，safely and accurately．Additionally，the Internet is the access to the information superhighway for traveling through cyberspace．It makes everything convenient and possible．For example，you can go shopping，send E-mail，see a doctor，trave1．seek a job，etc．All these can be done through the Internet by clicking the mouse．
The Net is so appealing and it provides us with so many chances in cyber space．It is also quite easy for us to make friends in this new space．We can make friends with people at home and abroad．Even if you have never met foreign people from different cultures，you can still talk with them，and get to know them．It has broken the limitation of time and territory．People feel it is so convenient to communicate with each other at any time，anywhere wherever there is a computer．People feel so great and they enjoy themselves when they go on line，not only because their cyber life is flesh and interesting，but because it is amazing to feel the advancement of hi-technology．The feeling of realism in cyber space is more touching than real life．
It is important to learn about protecting our environment. Here is a 5R rule for us:
If you want to reduce waste，you should use things wisely．A large number of trees are being cut down to make paper．If everyone uses a little paper carelessly and throw it out．soon we would not have any trees left．Other things are also being wasted，and people don’t know what to do with the waste in big cities．So if is necessary to reduce the waste．
You should always think of reusing the unable things before throwing them Out．Give your clothes you do not use or the ones which are too small to the poor．1n a family，you may pass on such clothes to younger brothers or sisters．
Bottles．cans and paper can easily be recycled．By doing so we save lots of time and money．For example，coke cans are sent to a factory，where they are smashed flat and melted and the metal things are made for new coke cans.
When you buy a box of apples，there may be a few rotten apples，you have two choices：one is to throw the whole apples away，or you could cut off the rotten parts and use the good parts．In this way，you are recovering the eatable parts of food．
If one of the legs of your table is broken，you can repair it．If you want to change for better ones．If is better for you to sell the old things or give them to other people who can use them after doing some repair．It is true that North America is a“throwaway”society，but the time has come to change our way of life so that we can protect our environment．Every one of us should try our best．
Traffic jam is a very serious problem in Beijing and other big cities in china.
The streets are full of cars，buses and bikes almost everyday，especially during the rush hours．To make maters worse，some people do not follow the traffic rules．To improve the traffic situation in big cities，I think，first，we should widen or build more roads．Second，the government should encourage people to use public transport and bicycles so as to ease the traffic flow．Third，citizens who drive or walk on the street should abide by traffic rules．Thousands of people in the world are killed or horribly mutilated each year and most of us are just sitting back and letting it happen．It is high time that people realized this and acted to reduce traffic accidents．
The transportation problem is a universal problem in every big metropolitan city in the world．Thousands of residents rely on the city’s buses and streetcars to travel through their city，but buses on the road are always not enough．Sometimes，the buses will be late，sometimes they arrive in bunches，one after another．The worst of all is that a bus driver or a streetcar conductor will pass up groups of people anxiously waiting in the snow in freezing weather because he is behind schedule and wants to make up for lost time．Unfortunately，passengers become unhappy victims of the waiting game，which causes them to be late for work or to miss important meetings．
10、高科技、时尚（High tech、State of the art）
“High tech”and“State of the art”are two expressions to tell about very modern technology．High tech is just a shorter way of saying high technology，and high technology can be any invention，or something that uses the newest ideas or findings in science．
What is“high tech”?A computer is high tech．So is a satellite in the sky．The opposite of high tech is low tech．A wooden plow pulled by horses is low tech．So is hand cart．High tech becomes a popular expression in the United States during the early 1980s．Because of the inventions in technology people could buy many new kinds of products in American stores．The companies that make these things were proud of the things they made. They wanted everyone to know that their products were as modem as possible．So in all kinds of advertisements，companies called their products as high tech．
State of the art is something that is as modern as possible．It is a product that is made with the very latest methods and technology. Something that is state of the art is the newest design or product of business．A state of the art television set. for example，uses the most modem designs and parts．It is the best that one Can buy．
State of the art is not a new expression．Scientists have used it for years to talk about the best and most modem way of doing something．Millions of Americans began to use the expression in the late 1970s．New inventions make computers smaller and cheaper．Every computer company said that its computers were the state of the art．So this expression“state of the art”became as common and popular as computers themselves．
It’s Friday morning in the year 2025, and you’re running late. You got distracted watching the music video that as playing in the corner of your bathroom mirror while you were brushing your teeth. How will you get to your office at Mega Giga Industries on time?
A quick check of your Internet-connected refrigerator magnet tells you your train which travels at speeds up to 250 miles an hour as it electromagnetically hovers above its guide track—is a bit behind schedule, too. So you decide to drive your environmentally-friendly hydrogen fuel cell car instead—or rather, let your car drive you. It’s programmed to know the way, and it will get you there without speeding, getting lost, or crashing.
Settling into your office chair, which changes color to match what you’re wearing, you pick up yesterday morning’s newspaper. Printed on reusable electronic paper, it instantly rewrites itself with today’s headlines. Now it’s time for your big meeting. Uh-oh! You’ve left your handwritten notes at home. No problem. The digital ink pen you used has stored an electronic copy of what you wrote.
Could this scene really take place in just a couple of decades? The researchers who are currently developing all this stuff think so. These gadgets may be as common in 20 years as cell phones and DVD players are today.
1、八荣八耻(Eight do’s and eight don’t’s)
Eight do’s and eight don’t’s
A list of do’s and don’t’s from President Hu Jin-tao：
Love，do not harm the motherland．
Serve，don’t disserve the people．
Uphold science；don’t be ignorant and unenlightened．
Work hard；don’t be lazy and hate work．
Be united and help each other；don’t gain benefits at the expense of others．
Be honest and trustworthy，not profit-mongering at the expense of your values．
Be disciplined and law-abiding instead of chaotic and lawless．
Know plain living and hard struggle，do not wallow in luxuries and pleasures．
President Hu Jin-tao has a message for Chinese who are greedy，lazy or unpatriotic：Be ashamed，be very ashamed．Hu’s list of eight do’s and donut s was
unveiled during a meeting of parliament．It aims to douse the excesses of China’s 27-year-long economic boom with a bucket of cold virtue．
“In our socialist society we must not allow the boundaries to be blurred when it comes to right and wrong，evil and kindness，beauty and ugliness，” Hu told a March 4 parliamentary seminar，according to the Communist Party newspaper．
“What we support，what we resist，what we oppose and what we promote all must be crystal clear，”he said，adding that his “socialist concept of honor and disgrace”should be promoted to the masses，especially young people．
“The overwhelming majority of Chinese people don’t want to go back to the simple life．They want the good life like the people in the cities have，”said Merle Goldman of Harvard University，author of the book．
The official Xinhua News Agency hailed the list as“a perfect amalgamation of traditional Chinese values and modem virtues．”
“It shows that the party has become aware that earlier campaigns were not having much of an impact on the youth，”said novelist Zhang Kangkang，a delegate to parliament’s main noncommunist advisory body，the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference．
“They have chosen to use very neutral language，very apolitical language，to get the message across，”she said．“It’s very populist, very middle-of-the-road.” “From Deng Xiaoping’s saying that’white cat，black cat’stuff to now，we have totally lost our sense of morality．It’s been 20 years since we threw our morality out the window，”said Shed Liao，an environmental activist and former philosophy teacher．
Deng，then the supreme leader，launched China’s economic reforms with the pragmatic declaration：“It doesn’t matter if a cat is black or white；it is a good cat as long as it catches mice.”
It reflected a strong desire of Chinese people wanting a society that is not rooted in materialism and corruption which have been so rampant in China now．More than 20 years of neckbreaking economic growth left many precious Chinese values in ruin．And more and more Chinese leaders and scholars realized that while strong national economic growth is necessary for China．it’s equally’important for all(not just a small portion)Chinese people to benefit from it．More importantly we must care about the health of our society.
As you know China is now at her cross road，we are seriously，searching for the answer--what kind of society，we want．China must find her conscience．Yes，we need it badly．It’s really a strong signal for a beginning of change for the nation．for good．
I think the list makes sense in two aspects；firstly，the majority of the population are simple folks and the list provides an easy-to-refer signpost going forward in all the permutations of happenings that will surface from growth and
change；simple to know，simple to remember，general enough to capture attention，applicable everywhere and to everyone．When there’s constant change，a stable starting point becomes eminently useful，and thus important；it’s like what they call the ten commandments(but let’s not sidetrack to that)．
Secondly，the list also applies for those cleverites who are too smart-alecky to admit that their desire to appear clever has complicated their lives so much they cannot appreciate the stark simplicity of plain truisms anymore．In their veins runs the blood of sophistry．Otherwise they may self-destruct，these species which live in kennels，or worse still，portray union-jacks duly bikinised．And when they salivate to stake their stand，all they could say in the first germs of thought in their little heads is this point of view，“how do I show my superiority over the common folks，those simpletons?”
To these species，go get a dose of rigor mortis．
President Hu-you have my support on that list．I don’t see any whole tot of heads of state doing something like that for their folks．That’s probably because they don’t have this number of citizens．The concept，which underscores the value of patriotism，hard work and plain living，belief in science， consciousness of serving the people，solidarity，honesty and credibility，and observation of the law，aims to refresh China’s values by amalgamating traditional Chinese values with modern virtues.
“In our socialist society we must not allow the boundaries to be blurred when it comes to right and wrong，evil and kindness，beauty and ugliness，”Hu told a March 4 parliamentary seminar，according to newspaper．
“What we support，what we resist，what we oppose and what we promote all must be crystal clear，”Hu said，adding that his“socialist concept of honor and disgrace”should be promoted to the masses，especially young people．
Sheri Liao，all environmental activist and former philosophy teacher said，“From Deng Xiaoping’s saying that‘white cat，black cat’stuff to now，we have，to some extent，lost our sense of morality．It’s been 20 years since we threw our morality out the window．”
“My, personal opinion is that it’s a very good thing，”Liao said of Hu’s value system．”The nation is starting to take an interest in and adopt a friendly attitude to traditional culture and values．
2、和谐社会（A Harmonious Society）
Building harmonious society crucial for China’s progress
Chinese President Hu Jintao instructed the country’s leading officials and Party cadres to place “building a harmonious society”top on their work agenda, when addressing a high-level Party seminar.
“The CPC and the central government have made it an important task to build a harmonious society, as China is facing thorny domestic issues, as well as complicated and volatile international situations,”said Hu, who is also general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
He made the remarks at the opening ceremony of a 7-day training course beginning Feb. 19, which was sponsored by the Party School of the CPC Central Committee and attended by major provincial- and ministerial-level leaders.
China’s per capita value of gross domestic production (GDP) has exceed 1,000 US dollars, but that does not necessarily translate into smooth economic growth and steady social development.
“This period is a crucial stage for the economic and social development for a country in the process of modernization, as proven by experiences of many countries in the world,” Hu said.
Some have succeeded in the social and economic transition into prosperity, but many others have suffered from stagnation and social turbulence due to inadequate policy-making, he noted.
“The problems and contradictions China will face in the next decades may be even more complicated and thorny than others” as it is turning from a planned economy to a market economy with its social structure and ideological setup also in major shake-up, Hu acknowledged.
“Independent thinking of the general public, their newly-developed penchant for independent choices and thus the widening gap of ideas among different social strata will pose further challenges to China’s policy makers,” he said. “Negative and corruptive phenomena and more and more rampant crimes in the society will also jeopardize social stability and harmony.”
In view of the international situations, Hu noted that building a harmonious society is also a requisite requirement for the Chinese authorities to clear away challenges and risks in the international relations, including unfair world order, rocky road of multi-polarization of world political framework, pressure from economic globalization, and security concerns.
HARMONY MEANS DEMOCRACY, JUSTICE ...
“A harmonious society should feature democracy, the rule of law, equity, justice, sincerity, amity and vitality,”Hu said.
Such a society will give full scope to people’s talent and creativity, enable all the people to share the social wealth brought by reform and development, and forge an ever closer relationship between the people and government. “These things will thus result in lasting stability and unity,”Hu said.
To meet this goal, Hu told the country’s high-ranking officials to:
Strive for sustained, rapid and coordinated economic growth;
Sound economic growth and increasing abundance of social wealth are the material foundation for a harmonious society, and the well-being of the country’s rural population will play a decisive role.
“When the farmers can lead a good life and assume a higher overall quality, the vast countryside will be stable and prosperous.”
Develop socialist democracy;
By developing democracy, the people’s opinions may be further let out, their intelligence be fully absorbed, and a democratic policy-making mechanism will help balance different social interests and avoid social conflicts.
Actively enforce the principle of rule of law;
The rule of law is important for the promotion, realization and safeguarding of a harmonious society. This principle should be rigorously implemented in all political, administrative and judicial sectors to ensure the powerful be checked and accountable for their misdeeds.
Strengthen ideological and ethical buildup;
“Without a common ideological aspiration or high moral standard, a harmonious society will be a mansion built on sand.” Honesty, unity, fraternity, professional ethics should be advocated to the whole society.
Maintain social equity and justice;
Social equity and justice is key to bringing people’s creativity and initiatives to full play, because people will not be happy without it. It is important to balance different interests and strive to ensure equality for all in terms of personal rights, opportunities, game-playing rules and wealth distribution.
Establish a fine-tuned social management system and well handle the people’s internal contradictions;
Social conflicts are emerging in great numbers and in more varied forms, which are inevitable for China at the present stage.
But they must be properly handled in case they pose risks to the overall development of the country.
And to beef up environmental protection.
“The present ecological and environmental situations in China are rather tough and grave in some places.” Without a sound natural environment, people will have no clean water to drink, fresh air to breath, healthy food to eat, which will result in serious social problems.
Hu called on the high-ranking officials to put building a harmonious society on their top work agenda, do a good job in serving the people, and probe into theories relating to the building of a harmonious society.
It will be a long-term, systematic project, and the whole Party and the government must constantly remind themselves of the sense of mission and take up their responsibilities in leading the construction of a harmonious society for the smooth transition of the Chinese society in the next decades, Hu said.
How to Build A Harmonious Society?
In a harmonious society people at all levels respect each other. Labour, knowledge, technology and capital are all factors of wealth creation, which can make profits and should be respected so long as they have made contributions to society.
A harmonious society should see honest, friendly and harmonious relationships and just, fair and open competition between social members, regions and departments. In such a society, competition will optimize the distribution of resources, foster technological progress, develop social productivity and raise overall national strength.
A harmonious society advocates an overall, co-ordinated and sustainable development concept, making the interests of different sectors balanced.
The first and foremost task to build a harmonious society is to maintain sustainable and rapid economic development. Only by constantly developing social productivity, continuously enhancing national economic strength and constantly improving people’s living standards can society develop harmoniously.
Second, we should uphold the principle of governing the country by law and building a legal system for a harmonious society. In accordance with the spirit of the Constitution, it is imperative for us to firmly support, encourage and guide private economic development.
Third, we should increase employment opportunities, alleviate employment pressures and gradually establish a perfect social security system. We should also implement proactive employment policies. At the same time, we should improve the social security system, for example, in unemployment benefit, medical expenses and pensions.
Also, we must raise the income of low-wage earners and increase the size of the middle classes. To avoid polarization and social contradictions, we must gradually narrow the gap between income and living standards. Here, the key lies in the government, which has an unshirkable duty to help the poor. So, the government should enhance its poverty-relief strength and its financial investment to really improve the conditions of poor families and raise them up to become members of the middle class. This is of great significance to the building of a harmonious society.
In addition, we will crack down on various social ills, which are a poisonous tumour in a harmonious society and must be eliminated.
Last, the Party and government officials and civil servants should abide by laws and public morality, work conscientiously, and must not be corrupt.
All people should co-exist harmoniously, love and help each other, encourage each other and make an effort to contribute to the building of a harmonious society
Some Chinese media have deliberately portraited the Chinese people as wealth-hate people, but what these people really hate is corruption, not wealth. Some media have misinterpreted statistics about the enlarging income gap. Income gap exists even in the most egalitarian society, however, the astounding income gap at present is more often than not a direct consequence of economic injustice. Profit does not go to good service providers, but to “government-approved" monopolies. We should not divert people’s focus away from where the true problem is, because serious corruption is already causing a big drain on social wealth. Fighting corruption have long been high on national agenda, the Chinese media should also contribute to it and help make our society truly harmonious.
3、文化的发展与交流（Cultural Development and Exchanges）
If China is to gain respect of the international community, we must grow our economy, advance science and technology and ensure that our people live a prosperous and happy life. We must also raise the educational level of our people, improve democracy and legal system and raise cultural and ethical standard. In recent years, at the same time of speeding up economic development, we have endeavored to promote political and cultural development and the building of a harmonious society, and we have given high priority to cultural exchanges with other countries. We have thus fostered an image of China as a country that is committed to reform and opening-up, a country of unity and dynamism, a country that upholds equality and values friendship, and a country that is sincere and responsible. As a result, China is increasingly viewed in an objective, rational and friendly light, and there is growing call for strengthening cooperation with China. All this has created a favorable external environment for China’s modernization program. Therefore, we should enhance cultural development and exchanges and view it as a key endeavor in building socialism with Chinese characteristics in all respects.
Cultural diversity should be respected. There are more than 2,000 ethnic groups in the world. Human civilization has evolved and enriched itself through interactions among different ethnic communities. Diversity of world culture and civilization has existed for centuries and will remain so in the future. Science, democracy, legal system, freedom and human rights are not something peculiar to capitalism. Rather, they are common values pursued by mankind in the long historical process and they are fruit of human civilization created by mankind. It is only that at different historical stages and in different countries, they are achieved through different means and in different forms. There is not just one model for the realization of these values. The diversity of civilization is a reality, whether you face it or not. It is the coexistence, interaction and convergence of different cultures that have promoted human progress. Cultural diversity in the world should be recognized. Different cultures should not discriminate against, be hostile to or exclude each other. They should respect and draw on each other’s strength, and this will make it possible to create a harmonious and colorful human culture.
China should take its own path in enhancing democracy. We never view socialism and democracy as something that is mutually exclusive. As a matter of fact, we see a high degree of democracy and well developed legal system as the inherent requirement of socialism and a key important feature of a mature socialist system. We are fully capable of building China into a country of democracy and rule of law under socialist conditions. We should explore ways to develop democracy with Chinese characteristics in light of China’s particular conditions. We should focus on efforts to promote economic development, protect lawful rights and interests of the people, fight corruption, increase public trust in government, strengthen government functions and enhance social harmony. And we should continue the reform in the political system by expanding democracy and improving the legal system. This will enable other members of the international community to better appreciate and accept the path of development taken by the Chinese people.
We should fully improve the educational level of the Chinese people. This means giving a high priority to the development of education. The government must work with a stronger sense of responsibility to extend and consolidate compulsory education. More efforts should be made to develop vocational education and improve higher education. The scientific and cultural level of the whole Chinese nation should be uplifted. That requires a major effort to foster values and ethics among the people and accelerate the establishment of a system of values and ethics which is in keeping with the socialist market economy and which carries forward the traditional virtues and values of the Chinese nation. In particular, high priority should be placed on fostering a sense of honesty and integrity so that the public will have greater sense of integrity and credibility. In international exchanges, we should be credible and trustworthy, act in good faith and honor commitment. Thus, we need to ask people to act in a civilized way in their contacts with foreigners, respect local laws, regulations and customs and behave properly in public places overseas so that they will contribute to promoting China’s culture and its image. As more Chinese are traveling overseas, we should strengthen foreign-affairs administration and crack down hard on crimes such as smuggling, human trafficking and drug trafficking to ensure order in people-to-people exchanges.
We should expand cultural exchanges with other countries. Cultural exchanges are a bridge connecting the hearts and minds of people of all countries and an important way to project a country’s image. The rich and profound Chinese culture, which has a time-honored history, has made significant contribution to the progress of human civilization. The traditional Chinese culture is noted for its many luminous ideas: the philosophical precept of “harmony without uniformity", the political belief that “people is the foundation of the nation", the educational guideline of “respecting teachers and valuing education", and the moral ethic of “do not do to others what you would not have them do to you". We should use various forms and means, including tour performance and exhibition, Chinese language teaching, academic exchange and sponsoring culture year activities, to promote Chinese culture and increase its appeal overseas. We should implement a “going global" cultural strategy, develop culture industry, improve the international competitiveness of Chinese cultural enterprises and products, increase the export of books, films, TV programs and other cultural products, so that these Chinese cultural products and particularly the best of them, will reach the rest of the world.
We should conduct public diplomacy in a more effective way. We should inform the outside world of the achievements we have made in reform, opening-up and modernization in a comprehensive, accurate and timely manner. At the same time, we should be frank about the problems we have. We should be good at using flexible and diversified ways in conducting public diplomacy programs. We should use persuasive ways to communicate with the international community to ensure that our message is effectively put across. We should work to enable the international community to develop an objective and balanced view on China’s development and international role, so as to foster an environment of friendly public opinion for China.
4、饮食健康 （Foods and Healthy）
Genetically Modified Foods
Today，there are 6 billion people on the earth．By the year 2050 there may be 12.5 billion．This is a lot of people to feed．We need more food．One way to produce more food is by growing plants．For thousands of years，farmers have made plants better．Every season，they pick the best plants far the next season．It works slowly．Since 1983．scientists have been able to change plants more quickly by changing their genetics materia1．Foods from plants grown in this way are called genetically modified foods．or GM foods．By changing the genetic material of a plant，it is possible to make new plants．They make plants that are strong against plant diseases．They can also help in our diseases，a kind of rice is being prepared，for example，which stops people from becoming blind．Rich countries produce GM foods because they are easy to grow and bring in more money．Poor countries are interested in them because they help produce more food．GM plants are not natural．No one knows how good or bad they are．Making GM foods is only one way of feeding people in 2050．There are strong feelings against them．because they are unnatural．They feed people．and then hurt them or their children later．But both rich and poor countries are very interested in their use，and they are not going to go away．In 2050 we may think differently about them．
Eat less and exercise more - it has long been the mantra for shedding those extra pounds. But now it seems that all the hard work may have been in vain.
Scientists say there are ten other reasons why people just keep getting bigger. They claim that sleeping habits, central heating, medicines and even some pollutants can play a role in weight gain. Traditionally, health practitioners have focused on diet and exercise - and a large dose of willpower - to treat the problem. However the scientists from top U.S. and Canadian universities say that these other factors must be considered. Lack of sleep could be partly to blame. In recent years, the average night’s sleep has dropped from nine hours to just seven. Sleep deprivation alters levels of the hormones that regulate food intake and body fat and increase hunger and appetite. If it is too hot or too cold, we burn calories to cool down or heat up. But if the temperature is just right, the calories may be turned into body fat instead. Those who take beta-blockers to control their blood pressure can often put on 3lb. Similarly, studies have shown that going on the Pill can add 11lb to a woman’s weight. Mother Nature may also be to blame, with our body shape being partly inherited. The overweight are also more likely to settle with partners of a similar size, and their children are more likely to be obese. And the use of pollutants is on the rise, say the researchers. The manmade chemicals in pesticides and plastics can interfere with our hormones and lead to weight gain. Your mother’s age and your weight at birth are also important, with older women more likely to have obese children and underweight babies having a bigger chance of being obese in later life. We also tend to put on weight as we get older. Finally, giving up smoking can also help pile on the pounds. The scientists from Yale, Cornell and Johns Hopkins said there was only ’circumstantial’ evidence supporting poor diet and lack of exercise as the main causes of obesity.
Ten other factors behind the flab:
Sleep - Too little increases appetite
Medicine - Many modern medicines lead to us putting on weight
Mother’s age - Older women are more likely to have obese children
Choice of partner - Overweight people tend to pair with each other - and have overweight children
Heating and air conditioning - ’Comfortable’ temperatures stop us from burning off fat
Genes - Body shape may be partly inherited
Giving up smoking - Nicotine suppresses the appetite
Manmade chemicals - Some chemicals interfere with hormones that keep fat levels low
Weight at birth - Underweight babies have a bigger risk of obesity
Getting older - Weight tends to increase with age
Blogs are the place where young people go to bare their souls，to vent，and even to gossip．Many people enjoy the freedom in blogging．Some，however，find that putting one’s life online can have a price．Some students in America got suspensions because on their blogs they posted threatening words to their teachers.
Recent surveys found that nearly a fifth of teens who have access to the Web have their own blogs．And 38％of teens say they read other people’s blogs．By comparison，about a tenth of adults have their own blogs and a quarter say they read other people’s online journals．
With the development of the Internet．more and more people will be engaged in blogging，
In another survey．79％ of teens agreed that people at their age are not careful enough when giving out information about themselves online．Besides，careless blogging can also affect blog viewers．When you are angry or frustrated，your blog is the first place you turn to．The words you post then may not be rational which
you may regret later．To minimize the negative effect，change the permission setting and make such posts“private” so that only you can read them
As long as you are careful of what you post, blogging is a great means of staying in touching with friends and displaying one’s creative works.
The computer virus is an outcome of the computer overgrowth in the 1980s. The cause of the term “computer virus" is the likeness between the biological virus and the evil program infected with computers.
The origin of this term came from an American science fiction "The Adolescence of P－1" written by Thomas J. Ryan, published in 1977. Human viruses invade a living cell and turn it into a factory for manufacturing viruses. However, computer virusesare small programs. They replicate by attaching a copy of themselves to another program.
Once attached to me host Program, the viruses then look for other programs to “infect". In this way, he virus can spread quickly throughout a hard disk or an entire organization when it infects a LAN or a multi-user system.
At some point, determined by how the virus was programmed the virus attacks. The timing of the attack can be linked to a number of situations, including a certain time or date, the presence of a particular file, the security privilege level of the user, and the number of times a file is used. Likewise, the mode of attack varies.
So-called “benign" viruses might simply display a message, like the one that infected IBM’s main computer system last Christmas with a season’s greeting. Malignant viruses are designed to damage the system. The attack is to wipe out data, to delete flies, or to format the hard disk.
6、就业与工作（Employment and jobs)
The unemployment of college graduates should not be regarded as a social problem if proper guidance and assistance can be offered to them．
College graduates may find it difficult to get a job in the wake of an expanded enrollment system launched several years ago．And the employment situation facing students is not much better．
There are several reasons leading to the unemployment of young people．Firstly，many young people project expectations on their careers that are too high and they are unwilling to start their career in a low income position．Secondly, some employers tend to hire professionals of higher educational levels to do low-level job．In addition，the current education system stresses too much on academic education instead of practical skills，it leads to newly graduated students without much work experience hard to find a ideal job．
Clearly, a good job is the foundation of one’s success，but what does a “good job”really mean?
For many．a good job means a good salary and a high social position. I don’t agree．In my opinion，it is better to regard“good”as meaning the job is suitable to your personality．Suitability is the key to a good job，if you get a job which fits your personality，you will more likely succeed in it.
Therefore，a good job means one which is also suitable to your interests．That is to say, you can get enjoyment from doing it．If you don’t enjoy your job, even if it gives you a very good salary and high social position，you can’t really lead a happy and meaningful 1ife．We should work to live，not live to work.
Landing a well-paid job in a foreign company is something millions of China’s jobseekers dream of, but the findings of a recent survey may change their minds. Nearly 90 percent of Chinese staff in foreign companies suffer from work-related illnesses, according to a recent survey by the Horizon Research Consultancy Group. Of the 1,521 respondents working for foreign companies, 91 percent reported symptoms such as burnout, stress, frustration, lack of sleep or numbness in the neck and shoulders after work, said Horizon. Those interviewed cited a total of 27 work-related symptoms. Interviews were carried out over the telephone, via e-mail or fax or face to face in four cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Wuhan. And 15.4 percent of those surveyed said they suffered from at least seven symptoms, which could lead to a breakdown or serious illness according to Horizon analysts. Another 5 percent said they suffered from at least 10 symptoms, which indicated they were extremely overworked, said Horizon. Half of the respondents said they did little physical exercise, while many complained about working more than 10 hours a day, returning home late at night and having to work over weekends. Of the most common symptoms of interviewees, 30 percent said they suffered from poor memory, as well as stress, mood swings and accelerated aging. Middle-aged, highly paid employees were more vulnerable to work-related illnesses, according to the survey. About 15.8 percent of the middle-aged respondents said they showed at least seven symptoms. Of the group earning more than 8,000 yuan ($1,025) a month, 19 percent said they suffered at least seven symptoms of being overworked. A lack of regular health checks and an unhealthy lifestyle, including drinking, smoking and skipping breakfast also made matters worse, according to the survey.
The preparatory work for the 2008 Olympic Games has served as a driving force for Beijing’s social-economic development, which also provides good conditions for the Olympics, said Lu Yingchuan, vice-director of the Municipal Commission of Development and Reform.
At a press conference on Wednesday, he gave plenty of facts on the city’s growth in the 2002-2006 period, which coincided with the preparations for the forthcoming Olympics.
The capital city’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew at an annual rate of 12.1 percent, 1.3 percent up compared with the 1997-2001 period, and its per capita income surged to 6,210 US dollars, 1.9 times the 2001 level, and two years ahead of the government’s goal. This development was achieved through a new growth pattern featured by lower resource consumption and waste emissions, Lu said.
The share of service industries, including financing, information, cultural creation, scientific and technological research and development reached 47 percent of the city’s GDP for the period and the increase in consumer spending and investment were remarkable features of the demand.
From 2002 to 2006 Beijing spent 283.8 billion yuan (about 36.8 billion US dollars) in infrastructure, including 110 billion yuan (about 15.5 billion US dollars) in transportation, four times the sum of the previous five years.
The Olympic preparations have increased Beijing’s international links, resulting in a 3.1 time surge in its trade volume to 158.1 billion US dollars in 2006 and a 49.4 percent rise in its use of foreign investment to 15.1 billion US dollars for the 2002-2006 period. Simultaneously, the city saw one million more overseas tourists.
The “Green Olympic" concept helped the city to improve its environment and make it more beautiful, according to Lu.
No spitting and get in line. That’s the message Beijing municipal government is trying to get across 18 months before the Olympics open in China’s capital.
“Everyone will be fined for spitting," read the headline in Thursday’s Beijing Daily Messenger. In a city of 15 million, jumping ahead in line is common. So is spitting and littering, which officials hope to restrain in an effort to improve the city’s image. Officials have announced a range of measures including “punishment and reward" programs to improve conduct. One campaign for “civilized behavior" kicks off Sunday in the Wangfujing shopping area, located just east of Tiananmen Square. This will be the first “Queuing Day," which will take place on the 11th of each month. The 11th was picked because the two numbers, 1-1, resemble two people lining up. Spitting could start to become costly. People spitting could be fined up to 50 yuan, or $6.50. In Beijing, 50 yuan is the daily income of a Chinese college graduate. It can also buy 16 subway tickets on the Beijing system. “Fifty yuan is a fairly hefty warning for spitters," said Zhang Huiguang, director of the Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau. “The amount of money is not the most important, the most important is to warn people."
China’s Serious Environment Problem
Pollution in China is very serious．The Chinese industry economy increases quickly：pollution grows more serious；and the great majority of Chinese are insensitive to the pollution．This is a Chinese，as well as，global disaster in the
Car and motorcycle traffic is increasing greatly．The population in China is multitudinous“1300000000”．It is five times as the population of the US．China is short of cultivated land．In spite of this case，the Chinese government is developing the private car industry greatly，new highway construction will take up large areas of land．Traffic accidents increased greatly．In 2003 200,000 people died in traffic accidents in China．
Building development is in mass confusion．Building technique is primitive and building in consuming large amounts of materials．In 2003 China poured 44％of the world’s cement．Building a house will consume more amounts of cement brick and decorative colorful brick in China than the Western Nation. But these houses make little use of insulation letting heat flow out in the winter and letting the heat in during the hot summer months．House repairs are more difficult，too．Chinese concerns beauty of own house very much，but Chinese don’t concern about environment round the house．They spend large money on their own house，but they are stingy in cost of the environment around their house．
Garbage removal is primitive．Chinese don’t know garbage classification. Waste plastic bags is visible everywhere．The Chinese people like to use plastic bags and batteries just once and then throw them away．China government pays great attention to beauty of city．They afford large money in images structure of city. But they pay little attention to garbage classification．Large amount of garbage is made by large consumption．
River is polluted by chemical fertilizer，pesticide，herbicides，chemical synthetic detergent(washing powders)，industry waste water，human excrement and urine，garbage．Waste water excrement and urine flow directly into river without any sanitation practices．Most rivers in china are unsuitable for drinking．Many Chinese people are harmed by drinking water in polluted fiver. Education in protecting environment is blank．People’s understanding and concept of protecting the environment is quite low．China’s people are poor，but they are not frugal．Chinese are concerned the beauty of house but don’t concer, n the beauty of environment，Chinese are concerned about their own health but don’t care about environmental health．They like to inject and swallow more medicines，eat more wild animals, but they don’t realize that the polluted water and air is threatening their health greatly．
China is imitating the West’s high pattern of consumerism．Chinese hope per a people owning private car and Motorcycle，living big and big house．Consuming large power source as Western nations do．The Chinese government is making effort to realize this aim．China is producing large cars and motorcycles，large cement and brick．Exploiting large coal mines and oil field．1arge ore mines．Large areas of land are damaged by the exploitation of natural resources.
The population in China is multitudinous，1.3 billion(perhaps 1．4 0r 1．5 billion)people，five times the population of the US．China is short of cultivated Land. The actual situation demands that China doesn’t imitate the West’s high consumption. China should develop electronic information consumption．If not, the Chinese would ruin their own environment，in further more，affect the global environment
Relationship between Environment and Economy
GDP is on the rise while the environment is drastically polluted．Or economic efficiency progresses with environmental protection．It’s easy to get the conclusion that development according to the second picture is more reasonable than that in the first one．
In the early development of socialism，our country didn’t pay much attention to the issue of environmental protection and savored the bitterness. Now, the government has taken many measures and is implementing the strategy of“sustainable development”．One aspect of the strategy is to develop the economy and take measures to protect the environment at the same time．In this way，we can develop our country in a sustainable manner and our offspring can have enough resources to develop society．If we don’t put much emphasis on the environment issue and excavate the natural resources blindly, our country will become a barren land sooner or later．
In a word，sustainable development is a reasonable strategy which should be implemented for a long time．The nature is providing us with plentiful resources generously，but it may punish US severely if we don’t care her．
The ever-rising price of property in China has become cause of worry for an increasing number of people, shows a survey. Despite the measures taken last year to cool down the overheated real estate market , fewer people now believe that the prices would stabilize in the near future.
Only one-fifth of the 2,582 people polled by China Youth Daily’s social research centre, sina.com and ePanel Marketing Research & Consulting Co were confident that the government’s steps would check the trend. Their percentage was 60 in a similar survey conducted only two years ago. The poll results announced yesterday showed another significant change: instead of blaming real estate investors for raising the prices to earn huge profits, as respondents had done two years ago, more people now blame the government’s vulnerability in macro-control measures for the malaise.
The rising demand and the concurrent raising of prices by investors are to blame, said Bao Zonghua, president of China Real Estate and Housing Research Association. “And the macro-control measures need time to take effect." Almost all the respondents said there was a “bubble" in the real estate market, with nearly half being certain that it would burst in 10 years. But almost 40 percent believe that the “bubble" would never burst. A whopping 80 percent believe that real estate prices would continue to rise this year, and 30 percent fear it would do so at a greater pace.
Buying a house for most of the people is a once in a lifetime decision, which means people decide to do so only after coming across the ideal house. Surprisingly, eight in every 10 home buyers are unhappy with their houses.
A survey conducted by the Beijing Consumers’ Association (BCA) recently shows about 80 percent of the 2,315 respondents in 23 residential complexes of Beijing are dissatisfied with the soaring house prices. They think the reasonable price in Beijing should be between 3,000 yuan and 7,000 yuan per square meter. The quality of the buildings, the surrounding environment and traffic and property management are the other factors that play a role in people’s decision to buy a house.
The BCA has suggested strict sales regulations and contracts to ease house-owners’ sufferings. It has urged the authorities to impose severe punishment on developers found violating building and other rules and joining hands with others to bid up property prices.
About 41.2 percent of the respondents have complained that their houses have defective designs, while nearly 40 percent say the lighting and ventilation are far from satisfactory. The landscapes in the residential areas are a source of unhappiness for 43.2 percent of the respondents, and about one-third say they were “bluffed" into buying “third grade" houses. And more than half are not satisfied with the sport and entertainment facilities in their neighborhood. Property management in the buildings, 56.5 percent of the respondents say, is way below standard compared to the high fee charged by the complexes. A whopping 60 percent of the consumers doubt the contents of developers’ advertisements, with only 6.3 percent being satisfied.
Experts have suggested consumers gather thorough knowledge about a developer and their work before deciding to buy a house from it. They should check the day-light conditions and ventilation in different weather conditions in advance, if possible.
A phrase employed to designate the mental and moral state of honest, even if objectively unfounded, conviction as to the truth or falsehood of a proposition or body of opinion, or as to the rectitude or depravity of a line of conduct. One who is in this condition, so far as the violation of positive law, or even, in certain junctures, of the natural law, is concerned, is said to labour under an invincible error, and hence to be guiltless. This consideration is often invoked in behalf of those who are outside of the visible affiliation of the Catholic Church. It is not unfrequently applied to determine the degree of right or obligation prevailing in the various forms of human engagements, such as contracts, etc. In the matter of prescription it is held to be an indispensable requirement whether there be question of acquiring dominion or freeing oneself from a burden. Likewise, in deciding the duty incombent upon one who finds himself in possession of another’s property, cognizance is taken of the good faith with which perchance the holding has been begun and accompanied. Finally, if a person, although in the actually in state of mortal sin, were in good faith to come to Holy Communion, such a one, according to the judgement of many theologians, would receive sanctifying grace. The reason alleged by them, although not regarded by other moralists as convincing, is that good faith saves the communicant from the conscious interposition of any obstacle to the productive activity of the Sacrament.
More is the commercialization society more should be is fastidious the good faith morals society. The good faith is not merely one kind of moral request, moreover is under the market economy basic game rule. The morals are the market economy movement basic safeguard. The scar countless capital market summons “accountant the good faith”! The reality summons “accountant the occupational ethics”! Strengthens accountant the occupational ethics construction, promotes accountant the occupational ethics standard to become especially urgent. Through studies the Marxism ethics view. Setting up science world outlook, outlook on life and moral outlook occupation. Causes the accounting personnel in the moral consciousness and in the moral behavior aspect self-education, the self-exercise and the self-remolding obtains the sublimation, self-enhancement. Has the intense occupational ethics sense of obligation, sets up the firm occupational ethics faith. In accountant in the occupation activity, carries on the moral choice correctly, can rest on certain occupational ethics principle, the standard and the category makes the right and wrong, the good and evil judgment to oneself behavior, and on own initiative carries on the choices to the professional behavior. Attitude to Our life
I have been shocked many times by some accidents in my life through which I find Human＇s life is like a delicate vase that will break into pieces for some unexpected incidents.
One day in the summer of last year, Wang, my friend, was watching a football match with his father. The match was too exciting for his father＇s heart to bear so he suddenly fell down to the ground for the heart attack. 120 was soon dialed but Wang＇s father passed away at last. It was too cruel for Wang to see his father die in front of him, and also too difficult for me to accept the fact, because just several hours before his death, he picked Wang and me up at Pu Dong Airport and sent us back home. At that time, he was so healthy that no one would expect that he would die a few hours later.
A few days later, I found something wrong with my body. It was a cyst as big as a coin found under my cheek. I felt very worried because, as I know, a cyst in that place was very dangerous. I was put into hospital after the doctor decided to remove it. After I entered the room of patients, I was jaw dropping because the looks of the patients were frightening, one person has a lump as big as a baseball on his face; another patient＇s eyes were bruised too badly to be seen and an old man＇s teeth had been all knocked off because the doctor would do an operation in his throat. I felt lucky and was even satisfied with my illness in this situation.
Life is really precious and delicate. Some pass away in a minute. Some live in great pain even they are alive. We have no qualification to complain about some little unfairness in our life if we are healthy. We should care for our lives and make use of it as plentifully as possible.
